What is a Death Doula? Nicknamed “Secular Chaplains” , Death Doulas hold many different places in the life process. Some death doulas will only focus on the actively dying while others may focus on after care or even work with people who are perfectly healthy and want to use the one inevitability all living things share to improve their quality of life.

I hold a few places on this spectrum. Having worked and volunteered in hospice for more than 10 years I greatly enjoy working with people and animals who are actively dying. 

For those who are actively dying I support goal setting, end of life planning, and legacy creation.

I support animals and their caregivers in this space of end of life by offering planning, support through euthanasia process, and after death check ins.

For those of us still in the pre actively dying stage I offer end of life goals support that can allow the individual to look at what matters most today. I offer Death meditation and support around death anxiety and for people wanting to add more intention to life. 

Life and community go together like peanut butter and jelly. So, through wayfaring wisdom I offer death cafes, classes, group meditations. Check out our event page for more information.
